Kirkmichael Former Parish Church - Kirkmichael (Moray), Grampian - Places of Worship in Scotland | SCHR

The former parish church of Kirkmichael stands in open countryside, alongside a rural road through a flat-bottomed, narrow valley. Small, cultivated fields bound the church and graveyard to the west, north and south, and there is sparse woodland on the hillside to the east. The church dates to the early 19th century, with major renovations carried out in the mid 19th century after a major fire. It went out of use some time ago and was sold to a private buyer in 2003-4 but it appears little alterations or maintenance work have been carried out since then.
