As a long-established company, founded in 1922, we have a wealth of experience of electrical and gas appliance retail. The combined years’ experience of our four full time staff totals over 75 years! The original electrician’s business was founded by my grandfather Gregor Watson in 1922. He worked in Coatbridge but heard that the original mains cable was being led into the seaside town of Saltcoats. Being an enterprising fellow, he decided to move to Saltcoats to take advantage of this situation. Consequently, a lot of the old townhouses and villas in the town were wired for the first time by my grandfather and his apprentices. John Watson, my father converted the business from contracting to retail in 1959 and I, Peter Watson have been in the business since 1978. Recently, after a nationwide survey, we were awarded a prestigious customer service award from Domestic and General. We pride ourselves in having a very loyal customer base which allied with the buying clout of the Euronics buying group, places us in a very strong position. We can truly offer superstore prices rallied to family business service, come along, and see for yourself! We hear from customers that it is increasingly difficult these days to see appliances in the flesh. Therefore, it is a refreshing change to come in and have a good look at what you want to buy. We sell most leading brands of Washing Machine, Dishwashers, Cookers (both gas and electric). Recently we created a Built in Appliance studio upstairs. Our aim is to give you an easier, more pleasant shopping experience, with the prices and buying power of Euronics behind us.
