Description

Rivington Parish Church - A Church Near You

Our Mission is to be a Caring Christ-centred Church loving and serving the people of Rivington and the surrounding community. We are very pleased to announce that our Curate Revd Nicola Butterworth has been appointed Team Rector of the United Benefice of Horwich and Rivington. Revd Nicola's licensing service will take place on July 18th at 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Church. Bishop Sarah Mullaly, Bishop of London and Chair of the CofE Covid Recovery Group has said this: “Taking personal responsibility means responsibility for our neighbour, not just for ourselves, and taking precautions to protect those more vulnerable than we consider ourselves to be” Face coverings are no longer compulsory but are recommended. Hand sanitiser will be available and if you wish to sit away from others please speak to the wardens. Groups which may choose to meet in church will be permitted as long as appropriate risk assessments are in place. ·We would prefer parents with young children to use the newly remodelled area at the back of church as opposed to using the Millennium Room as this is still the exit point we will be using at the end of services. We hope you feel the decisions we have agreed upon are appropriate and that we have carefully considered them. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or the wardens. Blessings and stay safe Rev’d Nicola Butterworth Team Curate: Horwich & Rivington United Benefice Contact: 07706979393 and Churchwardens Peter Holden & David Hawkins Mid-week communion alternates on Wednesdays at 9.30am. between Holy Trinity and St Elizabeth's. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
