Welcome to Talkin Church. Our parish is one of ten in the Eden, Gelt and Irthing Team Ministry. The Team Rector, Revd Stephen Robertson resides in nearby Brampton, while the Team Vicar, Revd Edward Johnsen, resides in Hayton. Edward has pastoral responsibility for Talkin parish, along with the parishes of Castle Carrock, Cumrew, Cumwhitton, Farlam and Hayton. The parish of Talkin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO.
